The Competizione dell‘ Opera 2023 – International Italian Opera Singing Competition will take place in 2023 at the Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre Alisher Navoi in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The winner and finalist of the 2013 Competizione dell‘ Opera at the Brucknerhaus Linz Ramiz Usmanov is the current general director of the Bolshoi Theatre in Tashkent.

The Competizione dell` Opera celebrates its 25^th anniversary. After successful years with Linz, Moscow and Sochi as final destination, the competition will enter again into cooperation with the Bolshoi Theater Moscow: The final week will take place from February 01, – February 06, 2022 in Moscow at the most famous and important theatre in Russia. The competition closes with its highlight the great final gala at February 06, 2022 at the Bolshoi Theatre Moscow.

Due to the current situation, we decided to cancel this year’s Competition dell`Opera.

The current international restrictions in all areas of life forced us to postpone the competition to next year.

We are already working at full stretch to organize the next pass and taking care for continuously updated information.

Due to the great success last year the Competizione dell`Opera will be held once again in Linz, Austria – again in cooperation with the LIVA and the Landestheater Linz. Embedded in the International Brucknerfest Linz the Semifinals will be held in Brucknerhaus from September 21 till 24, 2015. The grand finale Gala will be celebrated on September 27, 2015 in the new Musiktheater Linz, moderated by Barbara Rett.
